Operating a Country Club is hard enough.  Add in the all the complexities involved in the food and beverage department, and things can get dicey.  Furthermore consider that Florida Statute 509.039 (DBPR & Dep’t of Ag) requires that all managers and workers that work with or around food be trained and certified through an approved examination to attest to their knowledge, skills and abilities in the safe handling of food and beverage.  That’s where Serve It Up Safe! comes in.  And that’s what this educational session is all about.  During our time together, you will be pleasantly surprised as to how much you will learn, not only on the safe handling of food and beverage, but also on the ease of training staff as to the same.   Dave Steck will use a robust mix of lecture, video and PowerPoint slides that will give you the confidence that you will walk away knowing everything you need to know about the safe handling of food and beverage to protect the most important person in your club; the member and their family!

 

You will furthermore be given the opportunity to take the State required examination (85 question multiple choice) if you choose.  This will take place after lunch at a cost of $150 per person.  The educational forum will have told you everything you need to know; this is your opportunity to earn the Certified Professional Food Managers card that is required to be on the premises by DBPR Div. of Hotels & Restaurants and/or the FL. Dep’t of Agriculture.  DON’T miss this chance to earn the Manager food safety card that is then valid for a full 5 years!
