From Navy Service to Yacht Club Leadership: The Journey of Bruce Furman

Bruce Furman brings over 35 years of leadership and service experience to the hospitality and private club industries. His journey began in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saratoga, where he developed a strong foundation in leadership and operational excellence as a Machinist Mate.

Transitioning to hospitality in 1990, Bruce found his passion in private club management. Over the decades, he has led premier yacht and golf clubs with a focus on strategic planning, financial stewardship, and exceptional member experiences. His leadership has driven membership growth, successful renovations, and operational success across several prestigious clubs.

Notably, Bruce served as GM/COO of the Peninsula Yacht Club in North Carolina and later at the Venice Yacht Club, where he added over 200 new members since 2019. In 2024, he took the helm as GM/COO of the Saint Petersburg Yacht Club, continuing his mission to foster trust, excellence, and sustainable growth.

An active board member of the Florida Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America, Bruce values mentorship and community involvement. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, spending time on the water, and life with his wife and three children. His enduring dedication to service and people defines his career and leadership style.
